eGame Solutions, the sole technology partner of Malawi National Lottery project, renders all-around support in aspects of technology, management, operation, development of games, marketing, and financial planning to National Lottery Group (NLG), the exclusive operator of the national lottery. As a result of successful team work between eGame Solutions and NLG, a collaboration with local football community – Football Association of Malawi (FAM) had been established when NLG took initiative to sponsor Flames, Malawi National football team, to participate in 2012 African Cup of Nations qualifier versus Tunisia with a donation of K500,000. NLG also promised to grant the team K1 million after they win Tunisia in the Alfcon match.
Mr. Momi Nahum, the Executive Director of Malawi National Lottery, handed over the cheque to the team at a press conference hosted at Football Association of Malawi (FAM) Chiwembe Technical centre on 24 August 2011. He made a speech at the ceremony, “Malawi National Lottery envisioned the dream of establishing a world class company in this country where all walks of life in this country can have the opportunity to live and chase your dreams.” His words have reaffirmed Malawi National Lottery project aspires to turn the country into a place in which people are granted with opportunities to live their dreams.
The sponsorship has significantly contributed to support local football when it qualified Flames for Afcon 2012 and raised the team morale as well as members’ incentive to win the game to be held on 3 September 2011. The FAM president Walter Nyamilandu said that the donation was so timely that it would lift the spirits of the players. The donation will be used for preparation expenses of the match.
